WHAT AN OXYGEN WEEKEND LOOKS LIKE

TWO DAYS IN ONE ARENA

Dancers take class all in the same room with the top industry choreographers. The same knowledge is shared from professional dancers all the way down to students new to dance.

the master classes

OXYGEN provides attendees classes from the top industry choreographers who care deeply about what they do and the knowledge they give in their classes.

Some of these choreographers are actively looking to book jobs for various projects in which OXYGEN attendees have been booked for a variety of jobs from these choreographers.

Every OXYGEN event has different faculty. Every time you return to OXYGEN, you receive a new experience from an event you went to in the past.

THE TANK

OXYGEN is bridging the gap between studio dance, professional dance, and street dance through our event called THE TANK.

Every OXYGEN attendee auditions for a top-𝟏6 spot to battle head-to-head in THE TANK. Dance battles are not something studio dancers, or even most commercial and professional dancers, take part in.

THE TANK gives dancers who are stronger in freestyle than choreography a place to shine, and it pushes every type of dancer further out of their comfort zone for the sake of growth in their movement.

the opportunities

OXYGEN exists to open real doors for the dancers who attend. Commercial dance talent agents come to scout, which gives dancers the chance to be seen and take meetings with the people who actually book professional work.

THE TANK awards cash prizes that dancers can put toward continuing their training wherever they choose.

Select dancers earn the opportunity to train at OXYGEN for free, or in some cases to be paid to attend, so that talent rather than budget determines who gets in the room.

the JUMPSUITS

All attendees also wear identical jumpsuits. Unlike traditional conventions, where dancers wear whatever they please, OXYGEN removes the possibility of a dancer being noticed for what they wear so they are noticed only for their level of talent.

This puts every dancer on the same playing field and removes bias tied to a bigger-name studio affiliation or any other external factor.
